While Fury Road tore through theaters as recently as 2015, the original Mad Max hearkens back all the way to 1979. It also was made for a measly budget of $300,000 which (blog post) had more buying power in 79, but still very distinctly categorizes this film as low budget. That's no problem (blog post) though, everyone knows it's legacy and everything, so it's gotta be good, right? ...right?
